Thi is a working farm and a great campsite, right on the bankside of Ullswater. We did four days in the middle of rainy september, it was boggy and muddy in low picthes, but provided you pick a high pitch (the two main fields are both gentle hills), then you'll be fine, with elevated views of the lake....awesome! The shop is open on request during the day, and the shower, toilet and laundry facilities were clean and hot, .(...save for a few flies...but don't let that put you off.) All in all a great site and good base for loads of activities.
