With space for about 70 tents, this campsite offers visitors a quiet, picturesque base to enjoy the numerous walks in some of the Lakes highest mountains and gentle riverside strolls. The Cumbria Way, Coast to Coast and Allerdale Ramble routes are only a short distance away from this ideally located campsite.

An uneven field, very boggy in the middle.
Lots of trees and shrubs. Lovely surroundings but the camp site is as basic as it could be The showers are a half mile walk away from the campsite. There is no hot water in the toilets. There is no light in the toilets and my husband was horrified by the state of the gents toilets - a trench.... We would not go back .
