We are situated at the Northern end of the Lake District, approximately a mile South of Cockermouth which is an ideal centre for walking, and exploring the western areas of this beautiful part of the country.

Whinfell Campsite is situated in the Vale of Lorton, which lies among the North Western fells, and was much favoured by well known author and fell walker, Wainwright.
