Coniston Hall Campsite Featured Listing Popular

Campsite Description

The Coniston Hall Campsite is very well located for getting to some of the Lake Districts best walks/outdoors activities (it’s just a 30 minute drive at most to Windermere, Ambleside and the Langdales), and it’s walking distance to Coniston Village and the lovely surrounding fells.

If you can be hopeful of sun and no school groups, then the campsite would definately merit an extended stay. If only they segregated the noisy campers from the quiet, it would be great! As it is though, it’s clean enough, and well located, and good value, so not a bad bet.

The Coniston Hall Campsite is a 5 minute drive south of the village of Coniston. It is signposted on the left of the road just after you’ve passed The Ship Inn pub. There is a bus stop on the main road here, linking Coniston to the town of Ulverston. Coniston village itself is about a 45 to 60 minute drive from the M6 motorway.

Best Campsite ever, location is awesome a group of 4 of us lived on the site in 2005 for 6 months , we go ever year now and the groups getting bigger, you do get some drunken noisy idiots but on the hole is very peaceful, especially mid week

The worst camp site I have ever stayed on. It was a busy weekend of good weather. The owners didn't know when to stop letting people in and people were literally camping on top of each other as they could not find any space. Noisy until well into the small hours of the morning with people coming and going and playing loud music. lovely situation but extremely poorly managed. Great if you want a place for a hen or stag party!

Basic facilities, yet the cleanliness was satisfactory. The low cost was justified, but met my expectations in accordance with the price. Had no issues with theft in our five visits, and each time the noise subsided at a reasonable time.

Stayed there the other weekend with a few of the lads, had a great time. It did rain almost all of the time but the Conservative club disco made up for it :)

Coniston hall campsite is a great site for groups and for those who want somewhere close enough to walk to the pub! its located a 15 min walk from coniston village and down near the lake! The showers are a bit dodgy though - i make sure i ask the person before which one they used, so i know which one to put my 50p in!
